Kitchener Public Library

Location: Kitchener, Canada

Year: 2014

Flux examines the role of contemporary libraries in the 21st century and how the private and public imagination of this institution have radically been altered with recent technological advances in information dissemination.

‘Book pages’ are simultaneously arranged and broken down into individual components to create an overall form that appears to be in the process of transforming and ‘dematerializing’ as a structure.  Flux situates itself as a poetic homage to the past and a symbol of the future.
